They operate with a very low static pressure drop otherwise known as airflow resistance. Their filters can be washed and re-used over and over again for many years. Electronic Air Cleaners are typically 7″ to 12″ in width, much more than your original 1″ furnace filter.

Installation is in the return air duct closest to the furnace blower compartment. This location provides the most even air flow across the filter and allows the Electronic Air Cleaner to keep the system motor and fan clean.
